Many experienced shooters in the championship
Many are the shooters who aim for the gold, and many of them also have good results from earlier championships. For example Miroslav Janus from Czech Republic, who 18 years after his bronze medal in the Olympic Games 1996 still is active and now is entering 2012 years World Championship. Polish shooter Lukasz Czapla won three gold medals in the WCH in 2006, and another one 2008. After that he hasn’t appeared in the international competitions, but in Sweden he once again is entering a championship. Among the 14 participants from Russia we find shooters as fivefold WCH gold medalist Dmitry Romanov, Maxim Stepanov who has won four WCH gold so far and also Alexander Blinov who was silver medalist in the Olympics 2004 when Running Target was part of the Olympic program for the last time. Sweden’s top shooters Emil Martinsson and Niklas Bergstroem are entering all events in the competition, here in their home country.
Among the women entering the World Championship we find multiple WCH gold medalist Galina Avramenko from Ukraine, who is set against, among others, Chinese Xue Zan Li who won double gold medals in München 2010. 2009 years gold medalist in the mixed event, Natalya Gurova from Kazakhstan, is entering the WCH 2012, as well as the Russian top shooters Olga Stepanova and Irina Izmalkova.
With this in mind, we can guarantee that the ISSF World Championship Running Target 2012 will offer many thrilling games!
